First technology is needed for headset and (or) car kit connection, files exchange with personal computers and other phones and PDAs. The second one would be useful for accessing to the internet at public places.

Memory card slot and (or) large inner memory (more than 1 Gb) is a critical for a modern cell phone — you should have a room for your photos, music, documents, games and so on! The more memory phone have is better!
